The coffee industry is one of the main ones in Colombia, which is the second largest producer in the world.
Coffee is the second most traded commodity in the world after oil.
Derived from the Arabica plant, the coffee made from its beans can be found in tropical climates in the western hemisphere. The rainfall and rich soil of South America creates the perfect environment for harvesting. The seeds of the berries that grow on these Arabica plants are the coffee “bean” which creates coffee when roasted.
Other parts of the world grow coffee from the Robusta plant however they cannot compare with the amazing quality supplied by the Arabica plants that grow in South America.
LATCHI’s roots in Latin America, (i.e., Colombia and Brazil) reinforces our reputation in providing the most efficient coffee trading process.
